    The procedure of Pectoral implants involves inserting silicone implants into the male chest to make it firmer and more defined. it reshapes the chest for a more toned, natural and enhanced look. Patients may opt for pectoral implants for many reasons, they may have underdeveloped chest muscles through a medical defect or injury or possibly not getting the desired results from physical excercise.

    Procedure

    Your  procedure will be performed under a general anaesthetic, with your surgeon starting by making a small incision either in the armpit or under your chest.

    They will then make a pocket in the area where the implant will be placed. Your skin will then be stitched back together with a dressing being applied to limit chances of infection.

    Aftercare

    After your procedure you can normally return home the same day of surgery however in some cases you may be required to stay overnight. You will feel some swelling and bruising but the chest area which will go down after a few days but you be given some pain relief tablets from your surgeon.

    Stitches will be removed around 7-10 days after. You are advised to take around 1 week off work and return to any strenuous activity after 6 weeks.
